The James House, built 1723, Hampton, NH Benjamin James Jr. (1744-1797), the son of Benjamin and Marcy James, married Sarah Holmes, the daughter of Thomas and Lydia (White--she was the granddaughter of Peregrine White) Holmes in 1771, and they had six children. He was on the selectmen's Tory list in 1771, but he gave satisfaction and was removed. Welch "Scituate Families," vol 82.
